About me
Hi! I’m Janine.
I began my jewellery apprenticeship in 1986 in Dunedin, and early on, I was fortunate to win a few awards — during my block courses and at the NZ Skills Competitions, which still run today! In 1989, I came second in the nationals, and in 1990, I took first place, which gave me the incredible opportunity to represent New Zealand at the Internationals in Amsterdam in 1991. It was an unforgettable experience for a 21-year-old!
I’ve had moments away from the bench doing other things, but jewellery has always called me home. I love creating new, beautiful pieces, but I also have a passion for restoring treasured jewellery that holds deep emotion and sentimental value. And I especially enjoy taking pieces you no longer wear and transforming them into something you’ll love all over again — the ultimate in jewellery recycling!
My process & values
My jewellery-making process is a labour of love. I carefully select high-quality materials, including precious metals, gemstones, to create pieces that are both beautiful and durable. My core values are centred around quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction. I believe in providing exceptional service and creating jewellery that not only looks stunning but also holds sentimental value and will last to hopefully become heirlooms.
